ISO 14064

ISO 14064 Standard is the additions to the ISO 14000 series of International Standards for environmental management.

ISO 14064 Standard provides governments, businesses, regions and other organizations with an integrated set of tools for programs aimed at measuring, quantifying and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

ISO 14064 Standard has been approved as “good practice” in the industry and organization. It provides a framework for the verification of GHG inventories and projects, which gives more credibility to the GHG reduction process.


ISO 14064–1

ISO 14064-1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals.

ISO 14064-1 specifies principles and requirements for designing, developing, managing and reporting organization or company level GHG inventories. It includes requirements for determining GHG emission boundaries, quantifying and organization’s GHG emissions and removals and identifying specific company actions or activities aimed at improving GHG management.

Confirmation of the extent to which an GHG inventory is a fair representation of the actual situation against ISO 14064-1 Standard.
